Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with myself and James from @gunnerblog.
On this week’s show we go over the gory details of our 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday. We chat about Bernd Leno’s serious and completely unnecessary injury and why football has to do better with incidents like this. Midfield issues were obvious, we go over all three goals, Mikel Arteta’s in-game management and the changes he made (and didn’t make), and discuss just how disappointing a result it was. After the break we take questions about why the players didn’t react properly to seeing a teammate get injured, the lack of leadership among senior players, what’s happening with Gabriel Martinelli, some realistic positives we’d like to see between now and the end of the season, and lots more.
Remember, you can send us questions via which we’ll try and get to each week. Send them to either @arseblog or @Gunnerblog (or both) using the hashtag #arsecastextra. Best to send them Monday morning so they get noticed more easily.
