Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with myself and James from @gunnerblog.
In this episode, sadly we’re discussing another defeat – the 2-1 loss to Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday. Even after the dust has settled a bit and tempers have soothed, there’s still frustration at the collective performance and some individuals. Willian’s first half comes up for discussion, and we wonder what it is that Mikel Arteta sees in him that nobody else can. We chat about the substitutions, the fact we were in injury time before we got a shot on target in the second half, and how the manager is looking at stats for some positive reinforcement. We also discuss the Carabao Cup game on Tuesday and what kind of a team we’ll play, before listener questions about what constitutes a successful season from here, the January transfer window, the apparent gap at executive level, and loads more.

Remember, you can send us questions via which we’ll try and get to each week. Send them to either @arseblog or @Gunnerblog (or both) using the hashtag #arsecastextra. Best to send them Monday morning so they get noticed more easily.
