Welcome to another episode of the Arsecast – the Arsenal podcast.
In this episode I’m joined by Tim Stillman and Tayo Popoola to talk about our elimination from the Europa League after the 0-0 draw with Villarreal last night. We chat about the game, the couple of chances we had in an overall poor performance, the lack of urgency in such a big game, Mikel Arteta’s subs (again), and how, over the two legs, we didn’t do nearly enough to win and go through to the final. Then the discussion is broadened out to the manager and what happens next with him, his football issues are one thing but also how much the club have put on his shoulders, the dearth of expertise at executive level, where we are being a consequence of KSE’s hands-off ownership and lots more.
