Arseblog: Friday 21st October 2005

october 21st

Don’t you just love Fridays? The last day of the week and this Friday sees the release of the Pro Evolution Soccer 5. There’s my weekend set up. Sorry Mrs Blogs.

Bits and pieces going on. As I pointed out the other day the press were eager to make a story out of Arsene Wenger saying selling Patrick Vieira was a mistake. He denies that, saying “Many times in our history we have lost big players and we have lost another one. I think we have to go on with what is in front of us and not look backwards.”

Exactly. Forwards not backwards. Sideways not diagonal. It’s easy. The boss has also slammed a France friendly against Martinique as ‘scandalous and inexplicable’ but says he was not expecting any better from the French federation. At the moment Thierry is the only first team member of the French squad but the last thing he needs is to fly around the world playing a meaningless match. If the international federations must play games like this they should be done off-season or better yet, never. Cunts.

Sol Campbell, Freddie Ljungberg and José will all miss the Man City game with their injuries. I hope Senderos comes back in defence ahead of Cygan.

The Mirror continues its campaign to paint the worst possible picture of the Thierry Henry contract situation. According to them he’s constantly disillusioned, fed up and all sorts. When I don’t have such a massive hangover I’ll write something about it. Not today though. Meanwhile enjoy Goodplaya’s run through what he consider’s to be Thierry’s top 10.

Got big problems with my ISP this morning so I’m having difficulties uploading the page. Is it working ok for everyone else?
