Let’s start with Ashley Cole this morning. No, nothing bad this time, he’s had a pop at referee Graham Poll for choosing not to see William Gallas trip him up in the box and his assistant for choosing not to see that hideous cunt Drogba in an offside position before he scored. Ashley says “I think everyone knew it was a penalty apart from the referee. We’re disappointed in those decisions and other decisions, but there’s nothing we can do.”
He says the team will get their heads down in training and has backed Philippe Senderos to be focussed ahead of tomorrow’s game against Fulham. Personally I don’t think he’s responsible in any way for their goal. That hideous cunt Drogba was offside, of course he had the edge, and while his header near the end was certainly a bit dodgy we have to remember he still hasn’t reached 50 top class games in his career and the learning curve at this stage is going to be steep. I hope everyone recognises the potential though and gets behind the lad when he needs it.
Goodplaya on the Chelsea game. Sky Sports keep running the same David Bentley story over and over again. Ok, so we know he wants to leave already. Enough.
Sunday’s News of the World linked us with strange headed defender Jolean Lescott. A Wolves site takes up the story and says a £5m deal could include Justin Hoyte.
Safety is prolific at the moment – a new column entitled ‘Group therapy‘.
It’s been pretty quiet since Sunday and the focus is now on tomorrow’s game against Fulham where the lads have to kick on a bit and show what they’re made of. 84-0 should silence some of the critics. Some.
