An Arshavin blog

Good morning from the wesht of Ireland.

This really does appear to be most lully of Interlull’s and there is the square root of precisely fuck all going on. I know some of our players were playing last night but what they did, how they did it and who they did it against I simply don’t know.

And to be perfectly honest I don’t much care. So long as they came through it without being crippled, maimed, lamed or ruptured in places they shouldn’t that’s good enough for me.

I have scoured the web for Arsenal news. Ok, scoured maybe isn’t the right word. I’ve looked briefly in all the usual places and there’s nothing doing. I know that some of you will say ‘That there is no news is no concern of mine. Produce a blog for me to read’, whilst others will say, ‘You know what? It’s a slow news day, you’re having a well deserved break in the wesht of Ireland and you shouldn’t trouble yourself’.

I am inclined to side with that latter group of people yet I understand the demands of the former. The problem for those people is that in order for me to produce a sufficiently lengthy piece of reading material there must be something going on and as I mathematically proved earlier that is not the case.

Wojciech Szczesny talking about how he’s excited for the European Championships next summer is not something. Nicklas Bendtner talking about how Sunderland can surprise Arsenal is not something. For a start, the way Sunderland could surprise is by losing and anyway, Bendtner can’t play in that game due to Premier League rules about players playing against their own club.

I could tell you about my dream but I don’t think you’d like it. Denilson came back to play for us again but he was really, really fat and when Arsene Wenger took off the Ox in a Carling Cup and replaced him with the Plumpzilian there was outrage.

There’s a story in The Sun about Juventus not buying Theo Walcott but going with that is something akin to a newspaper editor running a front story about a natural disaster that didn’t happen not killing thousands of people.

So, really, I’m at something of a difficult juncture here. Spin it out to normal blog length with padding and nonsense or go downstairs and get some breakfast.

Much as I love you all, bacon wins.
