Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with myself and James from @gunnerblog.
In this episode we look back on the enthralling 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Saturday evening. Arsenal made a bright start and went ahead, but should the home side have had a penalty after Martin Odegaard’s handball? We chat about their equaliser and how we defended, as well as all the other big incidents, the slippy pitch, Alexander-Arnold hitting the bar, solid defending by both sides, and whether or not a point is a good return from this game for us, despite what TV narratives might suggest. Then we answer some questions about Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba, biased punditry, and a couple of festive ones too, before we play out with a musical number.
Merry Christmas everyone.
