Morning all, a very quick and early blog this morning.
The World Cup hosts won their opening game 4-2 against Costa Rica and we saw two awesome goals from Frings and Lahm. Frings’ goal in particular showed why the keepers are so worried about the ball. No blame attached to Jens Lehmann for the two Costa Rica goals, they were down to terrible defending and a right back that played Wanchope onside both times. He’s struggling to be fit for their next game having picked up an ankle knock though.
The Swiss coach hopes the Arsenal connection between Philippe Senderos and Thierry Henry will work to their advantage.
England play Paraguay later which should be fun.
Have to run, see ya’ll later.
