Mexican wonderkid Carlos Vela has had his loan with Osasuna cut short and has joined up with the Arsenal squad.

That's it. What more do you want?

Vamos Vela.

definatly not true. Wenger stated he will remain at osansuna untill the end of season. There are no stories like that on both clubs official websites.

Has he finally joined or is he just training with the squad during the winter break in spain?Ive not seen much of him but he is a very sharp player. I hope this news is true

Sadly I doubt it, it's far more likely that he has travelled over for ten days or so to get better associated with the squad while spain is on a winter break.

might be wrong but i reckon the rumours will of started since someone saw him at the training ground.

happy new year!

Vela coming back would be great for us fans, but why would the squad need it?

We have Adebayor, Van Persie, Eduardo, and Bendtner. If Vela comes in on January, what opportunity will he get in the first team? Almost none! He is making a name for himself with some very good performances with Osasuna so far, why cut that short for him to warm our bench? That experience is good to improve his football AND his confidence!

If he has acquired a spanish passport then he will not need a work permit.

Bollocks. He doesn't get his work permit until March or April, Wenger targeted him to come over the summer.

One obvious reason for him to be coming back early is because RVP's injury might be more of a problem than first, or second, or third thought.

Ya let's prepare to whip the arses of those who think they also want the cup. I believe that's more ammunition especially for carling cup too. Read lots about him on his loan spell and think he's great

Listen chaps, it might be true it might not be. Wenger obviously wants cover on the left as he has had 2 trialists who play in that position. Maybe he see's recalling Vela as the best option. If he wanted to recall him now he could because Vela is a first team international for Mexico and would almost certainly be awarded one of those permits for exceptionally talented players.

He's been here quite a while. It took a while for the Eduardo face transplant to take.

Talking of face transplants I know Red Rum was never happy with the deal he struck with Anelka and once I opened up a tin of beetroot and saw Sir Alex looking up at me!

What a great first half of the season. Is it not great being a Arsenal fan?

I thank Wenger, his staff and the lads and a wish them all a happy new year. Cheers, appreciate what you've done and how you've done it. Proud to be a Gooner!
